My name is Gil Dueck and I have the privilege of teaching theology and a few other interesting subjects at Bethany College, a small Bible college in Hepburn, Saskatchewan. I am married to Shelley and we have three delightful daughters (Julie, Lana and Kendal).
I have had a lifelong interest in theology (although I only came to call it that relatively recently) and trying to understand the purposes and actions of God in the midst of a distracted and distracting world. My journey thus far has been one of coming to terms with, and eventually to love, the Christian faith in which I was raised. This has been a winding road that has led through college and seminary, several jobs that taught me both the value of skilled labour as well as the depth of my own ineptitude, a stint at a group home for people with mental disabilities and now my current position.
I am the kind of person who learns and thinks best in conversation with others so this blog (at its best) is a forum in which those kinds of conversations can happen. Thanks for stopping by.
